Moon Dough… Go! Go! Go!

Lauren set up an exciting invitation to play to provoke extended thinking, learning and exploration in a very different way.It all stemmed from her children’s interest in building. Terrific Twos have an amazing construction area that flows out from one of the corners of their room as it is such a HUGE passion within the room, but Lauren decide to take this one step further by setting up a tray with building-related loose parts, scoops, diggers and even some numbers (as this is an area that is also a bit of an obsession at the moment… so combining them was a no brainer!!)‘Mess is best’ was definitely the mantra they all worked by on their mini construction site today….The moon dough base was ready and all the equipment set up for a very busy day of building, scooping, pouring, collecting and moving around the construction site. The diggers’ buckets weren’t the only things that scooped up the moon dough; little fingers got involved too, exploring, and relishing, the texture on their hands as they moulded it to make big/little boulders, transported it and made amazing marks, as well as finding all the hidden numbers as our children love to practice their number recognition at every opportunity too…it really was a very busy building kind of day!! 🧱🧱🧱👷‍♀️👷🏾‍♀️👷🏽‍♂️👷🏻‍♂️🧱🧱🧱 xxxx
