Our BIG School Leavers’ Trip 2022

Today Sian and I and the Free-Flow Team have spent a wonderful day out with this year’s Reception Class School Leavers.Over the years this very special annual trip has taken us to various venues; such as the ‘Dino Jaws’ exhibition at the Armouries, Leeds City Museum, York Railway Museum, Eureka and for the last few times to a very lovely local venue… Swithen’s Farm♥️🐷🐮♥️ Our children are animal obsessed so this is the perfect place to explore! We have found that by staying local we have still been able to incorporate a VERY exciting bus journey, but one where the travelling time is not too long, to then spend a fabulous day being introduced to the farm by a lovely guide (thank you to the very lovely Ruby!!) before going on a fabulous tractor journey with Lisa and Farmer Gary and having fun, fun, fun playing on the play equipment there… a perfect day, and it’s just on Jollies’ doorstep… we are soooo very lucky!! Have you visited the farm recently? It’s a fabulous day out!Today’s highlights have included:🚜Feeding all the animals some carrots (cows, pigs, sheep, emus, llamas, alpacas , donkeys and geese amongst others!) 🚜Meeting Diesel and Pingu the turkeys🚜Listening to Fred and Wilma the very noisy geese honking away!🚜Feeding Dinkey, Easter and Russet the donkeys 🚜Going on an amazing tractor ride through the woods 🚜Jumping on the bouncy castle and the trampolines 🚜Digging in the giant sandpits🚜Climbing on the HUGE climbing frame and whizzing down the slides🚜Racing around on ride on tractors 🚜Climbing in the play barn on the nets and whizzing over the soft play rollers🚜Spending our pennies in the farm shop by choosing a toy as a memento of our day🚜Giving the lambs a bottle of milk 🚜Stroking and brushing the rabbit and Guinea pig Our children used their listening ears and followed Ruby and Lisa’s instructions well, they asked and answered questions about all the animals, they washed their hands super sensibly at the frequent hand washing stations. They knew exactly how to keep themselves safe on the farm.Thank you to this amazing bunch of children… they have done us proud as they have been excellent ambassadors of Jollies out and about in our local community and they have listened well, been intrigued, interested, learnt a lot and have just generally been fabulous in every single way. Mummies and Daddies you should be VERY proud of your (not so!) little people… Today has shown us that they are more than ‘school ready’ and we know they will embrace this next exciting stage in their lives with confidence, determination, resilience, passion and total awesomeness!!!
