Rings, rings everywhere…

Recently in the garden our children’s fine motor skills have been put to the test as they have determinedly set about hanging rings on our colourful tree. They persevered despite this proving to be quite a tricky task at times as occasional bursts of wind kept blowing them off! Yet perseverance was the name of the game and our children were not fazed, they simply picked them up and carried on hooking them onto the various branches. Fine motor skills, hand/eye coordination, sharing, turn-taking, making choices between different (ring) sizes and branch positions were but a few of the things being explored…not to mention the extremely high self esteem our children had when they’d managed to hang them on successfully… We love the fact that they spontaneously clapped their own achievements. Are their superstar ways RINGing any bells with mummies and daddies at home?! We know they will be as we have such totally TREE-mendous children here at Jollies… they make us proud every day with their caring, sharing, exploring, discovering wonderful learning ways ♥️ xxxx
