When it comes to putting our coats on sometimes we need a little bit of help and that’s okay, but we love that our children give it a good go themselves first (the coat flip trick is simply AWESOME!!!!) and are then confident to ask for help when it is needed 
The other day Natalie gave her children the extra challenge of trying to zip their coats up all by themselves too to gain that little bit of extra independence.
Our children were really good at giving this a good try and many could do this totally independently. Even though quite a few couldn’t get the zip in during their first couple of attempts they were determined and didn’t give up and kept trying until… ta-dah!!!!
We love our children’s independence and resilience and even more than this we love to see the look of pride upon their faces when they achieve, achieve, achieve!!!
