We are loving our construction cabin and its ability to let our imaginations flow through this exciting indoor/outdoor space….
It was collaboration and creative and critical thinking all the the way as our children planned, problem-solved, built and modified their creations… bobbins and reels were turning, but so were the cogs in our children’s minds as they focused upon their magnificent builds and their chosen tasks….

Last year it was Tracey’s crazy lampshade tree, but this year Sian has spotted the next tree loveliness for Jollies…
At nursery our entire ethos is centred around our children; including the concept of ‘looking up’ to really consider what it’s like from a child’s perspective.
Our blossom tree is beautiful but once the pink has gone we wanted to ensure we still have interesting!!
So what better way to inspire our children’s imaginations than helping them imagine they are floating high above through the clouds across the sky!
Our children are always going on adventures at Jollies and hopefully these gorgeous balloons will inspire and spark their imaginations even further….

So after resurfacing our outdoor area on the other side of the garden and introducing our book nook and construction cabin we now have some new additions to the garden side too!
After looking at our children’s play and assessing their needs we wanted to improve our outdoor area to provide greater access to quality, inspiring and creative outdoor learning in all weathers for ALL children, but especially for our youngest babies ![]()
We now have a VERY versatile space that provides much more seamless indoor/outdoor learning and can facilitate greater outdoor play in all weathers where our children can explore and develop their skills further in a very exciting, satisfying way.
We still have work to do… the walls will be being clad inside our new sensory/movement room soon and then we can truly develop this space in a uniquely wonderful manner, as is our Jolly way!! ![]()

We have a new outdoor sandpit to be added to our garden and we also want to create a space for growing our own fruit and veggies too, plus sensory and many, many other additions that will soon appear in our mud kitchen area under the canopy as we develop it further, but we are excited about all we have achieved so far!!!
Watch this space… We think our children are going to LOVE it!!!! ![]()

It was rubbish 0 – Jolly Woody Litter Pickers 1 the other morning!!
On Tuesday the Free-Flow gang hit the streets of Woodlesford on the look out for pesky litter!
They were eagle-eyed and pincer-gripped as they wielded their pickers with precision and purpose!!!
We collected it all on our walk to and from the park, with the added bonus of stopping for a play inbetween!!
Tracey crossed the road to drop the special purple bag next to the square bin as the council team will come and collect it on their rounds when they empty the bins next.
We LOVE to be part of our local community and help keep our environment clean and lovely… learning how to care for it is so very important as the future of the world will soon be in our hands ![]()
